About Emrah

Practical experience, lived understanding.

I’m Emrah Olgac, an ADHD & Mindset Coach working with adults across the UK and Europe. My work is about helping you understand how your mind works, and building ways of working that genuinely fit you.

My story

Finding the missing piece.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in my late thirties.

By then, I had achieved a lot in my life and career. Yet for years I quietly questioned myself, wondering why things that seemed simple for other people could sometimes feel so difficult for me.

After my diagnosis, many things began to make sense. It felt like finding a missing piece of the puzzle.

My background in management and business had taught me how to solve problems, lead people and find practical ways forward. After my diagnosis, I wanted to understand ADHD more deeply. So I kept learning across coaching, ADHD, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and wellbeing.

Why coaching

The reason I chose coaching is personal. I know what it feels like to struggle without feeling truly understood.

I wanted to become the kind of support I wish I’d had: helping people understand themselves better, work with their minds rather than constantly against them, and move forward in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Background

What shapes my approach.

Lived experience, years of real-world work, and a long-standing interest in how people think, feel and change.

  • Lived understanding

A first-hand understanding of ADHD, including the frustrations and the strengths that often go unnoticed.

  • Professional experience

Business, management, hospitality, operations, sales and coaching, all environments where structure, people and pressure meet.

  • Different countries & cultures

Having lived and worked across different countries and cultures, I’ve seen that there’s rarely one “right” way to live or work.

  • Ongoing learning

Coaching, ADHD, psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness and wellbeing, alongside business and leadership.

Training & learning

Continuing to learn.

Learning is an ongoing part of my work. Alongside my professional coaching training, I continue to study ADHD, psychology, human behaviour, mindfulness and personal development through courses and specialisations developed by universities and professional organisations.

Areas of study

  • ADHD & neurodiversity
  • Coaching & behaviour change
  • Positive psychology
  • Psychological research
  • Mindfulness & wellbeing
  • Resilience & stress management
  • Neuroscience & human behaviour
  • Leadership & communication

Selected learning providers

  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Yale University
  • Johns Hopkins University

A note on training. These include continuing-education courses, specialisations and professional coaching training. They are not presented as clinical qualifications or university degrees. I’m a coach, not a psychologist, therapist or medical professional. My ongoing learning helps me bring a broader, research-informed perspective to practical, everyday coaching.

How I work

Coaching, not therapy.

It helps to be clear about what coaching is, and what it isn’t.

What coaching is

  • A focused, non-judgemental space to think clearly
  • Understanding your strengths, patterns and obstacles
  • Practical experiments in your real life
  • Support with follow-through and reflection
  • Working at a pace that suits you

What coaching isn’t

  • A diagnosis or assessment of ADHD
  • Medical care or medication advice
  • Psychotherapy or counselling
  • A one-size-fits-all productivity system
  • Being told to just try harder

You don’t need to have everything figured out before we talk.

A free 30-minute conversation is simply a chance to meet, talk about what’s happening for you, and see whether coaching feels like the right next step.
